From ironing business to software company
DashGrow did not start as a startup idea. It started as an operational tool we built because nothing else worked.

Seven years running the service
Our family ran one of the leading ironing services in Surrey Heath for seven years. We handled collections, deliveries, per-kg pricing, invoicing, and customer communications, all the things a laundry business runs on every day.

Every system failed us
We tried every tool we could find. None were built for how a laundry business works. Each one added a step rather than removing one. The admin was taking as much time as the ironing itself.

We built our own
With a software engineering background and seven years of first-hand knowledge, we built DashGrow for our own business. One dashboard for bookings, per-kg pricing applied automatically, PDF invoices in one click, Stripe pay links, and automatic SMS updates at every status change.

Not just because the ironing was good, but because the service around it was organised and transparent. Booking confirmations arrived. Payment was simple. Invoices came on time. Their lives were genuinely a little easier.

We transitioned to software
We made the decision to move from running the ironing business to building the software full-time. We started working with other ironing and laundry businesses in Surrey Heath and beyond, sharing what we had built and improving it continuously based on what real operators told us they needed.

DashGrow is built specifically for the UK market. Pricing in pounds. Invoicing that reflects HMRC record-keeping requirements for self-employed operators. An understanding of how UK domestic and commercial accounts work — hotels, B&Bs, care homes, and letting agents alongside individual households.
We are based in Surrey Heath and that local knowledge is built into the product. This is not a generic international platform adapted for UK use. It was designed here, for businesses like the one we ran.
Every feature in DashGrow exists because an operator needed it. We listen to our partners regularly and ship improvements continuously. When something does not work the way a real business works, we fix it. The product today is shaped entirely by real operators — not by what a product team assumed they needed.
